Welcome to Roleta

At Roleta we are reshaping crop farming in South Africa by integrating technology and machine learning to run greenhouses.

We elevate the use of renewable energy and careful resource management for genuinely sustainable farming — and we provide the technical support new farmers need to start.

Let's grow.

Know what it costs
before you build it.

Roleta turns your greenhouse dimensions into a real bill of materials. Every quantity measured from the structure you describe, every price yours to replace with a supplier quote.

Free to use. Nothing to install. Works on a phone.

How it works

Three steps. No account needed.

Describe your project

Province, crop, area and the structure you have in mind. Nine provinces, thirteen crops, six growing systems.

See the real numbers

Startup cost, running cost per cycle, cost per kilogram, break-even price and payback. Plus what happens if the season goes against you.

Take it to a supplier

A bill of materials with quantities measured from your own dimensions. The document you hand to a supplier or a funder.

Where our figures come from

Quantities are measured.
Prices are estimates.

Every quantity comes out of the dimensions you enter — arch length from span and rise, cladding area from the developed arc. That arithmetic is checkable, and it does not go out of date.

Prices are different. Ours are South African benchmark estimates, and they move — fertiliser shifted by more than half in a single month in 2026. So every price is editable, and every line tells you where its number came from.

DerivedComputed from your dimensions. The formula is shown next to it.
AssumedAn engineering convention. Confirm it for your wind zone.
QuoteA price. Replace it with a written supplier quote.
